WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item upgrader mod, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a button, which displays a preview of the item level upgrade (go to website) when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they only have one use. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
